Spain has a special energy, and my visit to Alicante left a particularly strong impression on me.
One of the highlights of the trip was visiting Mount Santa Bárbara and the famous Castillo de Santa Bárbara. Rising above the city, the mountain offers incredible views of Alicante, the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding coastline.
I was absolutely fascinated by the atmosphere. Standing high above the city and looking out over the endless blue of the Mediterranean is one of those moments that is difficult to describe with words. You simply want to stay there a little longer and take it all in.
The combination of mountains, sea, warm Mediterranean light and the historic castle makes this place truly special. Walking around the mountain, exploring the fortress and watching the city from above was an experience I will remember for a long time.
Alicante surprised me with its beauty, openness and relaxed atmosphere. It is a place where you can combine travel, nature, movement and simply enjoying the moment.
I came to Alicante as a visitor — and left with a strong desire to come back.
